Charlie Bowring
My name is Charlie Bowring, It was around 1986 I first saw line dancing, watching the girls on the floor I was hooked and decided that this is for me. Remembering how hard it was for me to learn is what makes me so patient with new dancers. By the time I left school in 1988 I had already competed in a number of BWDA dance competitions and had written my first dance Coca Cola Cowboy. Country music was the music that got me into dancing and it’s the music that still makes me want to dance today. Dancing is a great way to release the stress of a hard day, I love to get out on the floor and dance with attitude. Hope to see y’all out on the dance floor.

This was my first I.C.E project, the music was added to the group by Dave Vorberg and I fell in love with the track soon as I heard it. I think this dance took about 4 drafts, but the finished dance is one I’m still super proud of.
bfe
BFE was a track had and sent to Laura Sway.
As soon as i heard this track i knew i want to start choreographing to it. Laura and i decided to team up and work on this project together. We both along side Rob counted out the music, found where the accents were, as well as finding the lyrics and beats we wanted to hit.
We both came up with many ideas and just puzzled them together. We made a fantastic team.
This dance got to Draft 4...
Thanks again to Rob Fowler for your feedback and advice and thanks for being a little brutal, but we are over the moon with this one.
jesus & wranglers
“Jesus and Wranglers”- In December of 2020, i posted this song to choreography class. Susan commented that she loved the song immediately. I asked for a dance buddy and Susan jumped right in with both feet. This dance was stamped on January 7, 2021 on Draft 5 after we revised the restart. It was an honor and privilege to co-choreography this dance with Susan, Rob Fowler and the I.C.E. team. We had so much fun together we are planning future co-choreographies. This dance reached number 1 on Everything Line Dance. It climbed to number 26 on copperknob.com and rose to number 37 on linedancerweb.com.
san antone waltz
I’ve been a George Strait fan since the 80’s when I bought his first album on vinyl from HMV “Strait Country”. This dance took 6 drafts to pull everything possible from this fabulous track “Remember The Alamo” CD “One Step At A Time”. I don’t dance many waltzes, but the couple I do love have a beautiful ebb and flow “Deeply Completely”, by Rob Fowler & “Open Arms”, by Charlotte Oulton Macari. My desire with this dance was to create that a dance that I could lose myself in. San Antone Waltz is that dance.
crisscrossing
This is the first Rolling 8 style dance I’ve worked on. I couldn’t have had a better partner in Brenda Shatto. We worked together on this dance for January’s J&J competition. Although we came 2nd in the competition, the dance only needed a couple of very simple tweaks to deliver this fabulous dance.
