Better Days For all

II first started dancing at the age of 14 & instantly fell in love with it. I loved the country music and the moves & dancing & the way it makes me feel. I danced for a few years. I stopped when I went to college to study Art & Design & didn't start again until 2001 & was amazed at how much it had changed. The love for dance instantly came back & I soon started competitive Linedance. Stayed at this level of linedance for a few years, then branched out into dance fitness with the Fitsteps training program which is a Ballroom and Latin dance fitness program. I then furthered my training to become a level 2 Exercise to Music instructor. Again I stopped for a couole of years having been diagnosed with a heart condition called Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy when I thought I would never dance again which was very hard to hear. That's when I.C.E came along. Created by the linedance legend himself Rob Fowler. My Partner David enrolled us both on the I.C.E program and we haven't looked back since. It has given us the passion and love for linedance back in a greater way than we thought possible. The advice, guidance & support that Rob, Debbie Jayne Ellis, Laura Sway & Everyone on I.C.E have given us has been so amazing. We feel like a proper family & I am so happy and proud to be a member of it. Because of I.C.E, I was nominated for a Crystal Boot Award for my dance Sundown Swing which I co choreographed with Elaine Cook and Rob Fowler. My confidence has grown incredibly & I'm happy in myself that I'm becoming a better dancer, instructor and Choreographer with the help of Rob Fowler and our Incredible I.C.E team. So far I have choreographed 4 dances that have received the I.C.E stamp. The process involved putting various drafts together and sending them in to Rob for review. Once he told me how to improve the dance I put his suggestions in and the dances became so much better & I will be forever grateful to Rob, Debbie, Laura and the I.C.E team for everything.

Ava's last laugh. I found Ava Max's new song on YouTube and loved it instantly. I sent into the group and started working on it with Rob as we wanted to get it completed ASAP as the song was new. We worked on it. Took it to draft 4 it was stamped. It's such a cool fun dance & it's being enjoyed by dancers far and wide so I'm proud of it

Ava's last laugh

One Chance to Slow Dance. I heard the song on Spotify and was getting steps to it instantly. I put it into the group & Rob liked the song. This one took a bit of work. Took 7 drafts to get it done. But once it was stamped it was worth it

Sundown Swing Well.. What can I say about this one.. Only that the success it's had is phenomenal. Rob introduced me to Johnny Reid in the I.C.E courses. I loved his voice instantly. Downloaded a couple of his albums on Spotify and was hooked. When the sun goes down really stood out. I sent this and another Johnny Reid song over to Elaine Cook & we picked this one. We had such fun working on it. Only took 2 drafts to get it stamped. We initally had it as a high beginner/improver level dance but Rob advised us to drop it a level. So we made it a beginner dance. It got stamped and it's been incredibly successful so far. Elaine and I are so proud of this dance.

Monumental Symphony. This dance is such a fun dance. I love the group KEiiNO & when I heard this song I had to write a dance to it. My partner David and I worked on it together and with Rob's help it took 4 drafts to get it stamped. Love the music and the dance

Better Days For All This was the dance Ann-Kristin Sandberg & I worked on for the Jack and Jill competition. The music was very poignant to today's world so we picked this one out of 3 music choices. We had such fun working on this dance and with Rob's advice it took 3 drafts to get stamped.
